Freelance. Is it worth it?

With time is just normal that everything changes, lifestyle, the music that is on top, the clothes, and of course, the way of work. Until a few years ago the normal was working for a company with a contract, in which you stipulate the schedule, the salary, and the basics conditions.

But now everything had changed, there is a new way to work and capitalize on what you are good at. With this new way of doing things, is easy to work for different companies and do a simultaneous tasks at the same time.

1. HOW DOES IT WORK?

Imagine that you are a marketing designer, in a traditional way of work you are hired by a company and you have to go to work from Monday to Friday and you will receive a monthly or weekly payment, and design or do the task that the company requires.

Now, as a freelance you could work for 3 or more companies it depends totally on you, at the same time, you will have the power to decide with what company work and with what company not. you can manage your time and work at the time and day that you want it because you will have dates to deliver the progress or the product itself, so as long as you meet with the dates it will be fine.

2. WHAT ABOUT THE PAYMENT:

This is the best part; you will be the one who decides how much your work is valued. You will negotiate with the clients and define a price that works for both of you. In the same way, you will decide what are the dates of payment and how it will be.

In other words, you will be your own boss, you will have all the responsibilities and make every single decision and you can work on your terms and in the way that you like, work from any location due that you will not have an office. And the big advantage is work when you want to, you could take “vacation” in any time of the year.

3. DISADVANTAGES:

If you are thinking of becoming a freelance take into account that there are some disadvantages; this is a very lonely job, you will not have any coworkers, this can be difficult for some people, other disadvantage and maybe the most important is you will not have a fixed salary as you are having different jobs every month your incomes can vary according to this.

Being freelance is a good opportunity for many people, but is not that easy, your reputation is what is going to give you respect in your field. But for this, you will need to have contacts and experience so definitely is not an option for your first job.

Nowadays there are many people looking for work as a freelance, in my very personal opinion this will be the way to work in the future.
